I means you're doing it wrong! ;)

The most I ever used was 1.5 tons to heat 1200sf.

Even this year in the new house I only used a little over 1.5 tons in 1700sf of two story "raised ranch" with no optimization of air flow. And that was getting to know a new chimney so I had a lot of re-starts. And I changed stoves after a month and a half and had to start the learning curve over.

Naw, Erik is right ..... this place has about as much air stopping properties as a sieve! :lol:

Insulation costs money though. After buying coal & snow tires, that stuff is going to be non-existent around here... :sick:
