We watched it "Live". The major networks just got their cameras working, when the 2nd plane hit, there wasn't even an announcer yet, but we saw the plane dissappear into the 2nd tower. It was the day our son was to be born. Thank goodness he was 2 weeks late so we don't have to associate his b-day with that event.

I was doing something and my old GF called... "Are you watching TV". Quite a coincidence I was home that day because it was September which is super busy and I was still delivering coal. I can remember getting phone calls for orders and asking people on the phone the same question, everyone of them wasn't aware of it. I think one lady must of though I was nuts because I mumbled something about the towers and the Pentagon burning. It was surreal and I hope to never have that feeling again.

Eight log, painful years for the families of those lost..... I sure hope we are learning something about ourselves due to their losses. Costly lesson in complacency for every American. Better have our flag hanging proudly, or head for the nearest exit from our country. :mad3:

We just had our Huge Flag Pole Dedication Ceremony tonight at 6pm. They erected a 120'+ pole in the middle of town...It was very nice! :)

I'm not a huge country music fan but I love this song and it always makes me cry tears of sadness for what happened and where I'm afraid we're heading.

The history Channel had a good show on last night I caught in the early morning. Was getting ready for bed... it was all amateurish video. no narrator. Same feelings crept up as I was watching it. Sorrow, rage... the whole spectrum of emotions. It was so sad watching those fireman heading towards the towers before they collapsed yet there was also the feeling of pride and utmost respect for them. Probably the worst part was right before they collapsed they had some audio of a fire commander asking for a rundown of the crews at the scene and the list was so long.
