Maine Photo Album

You must own the image and have taken it yourself. Do not submit images taken by others even if it's a friend that is allowing you to use it.

From these images I may select ones for use as header images with your permission first.

This is Marshall Point light near where I live. It was seen in the movie Forrest Gump.

This is a coal heating forum. Wouldn't we want a picture with snow?

The state forums are more a social forum so any image is fine, those are nice. BTW. ;)

I'm still waiting for snow. As fast as we get it, it gets rained off.

Here's one from behind my house last winter. It was a bitter cold night and the vapor from the river had completely frosted this bush. That's about as cold as it gets here on the "Riviera of Maine".

Here's a couple of photos. The windmill one because in the near future Maine will be the offshore turbine capital of the USA and the other because it's my favorite photo. The lake is Ebeemee Pond and the mountain in the background is Ebeemee Mt. They are located in T5R9 in northern Maine. The turbines are in Mars Hill Maine.

What's a Maine photo album without a photo of a Moose?

Nice! Thanks for posting! The first one I ever saw was up in Newfoundland in Gros Morne park. You never really understand how massive they are until you see them in real life.
