There isn't much to take pictures of where I live -- just trees! I can't bring myself to travel east of 495 to snap some historical building or site shots. All the nice pics like the one for the PA forum would be found in western MA.

Here's a good one -- the skyline of Boston through 45 miles of smog from the summit of Mt. Wachusett. I'll let someone with more skill take the pic! ;)

Is that picture taken near Greenfield off of Rt. 2 on the top of the mountain?

No -- Mt.Wachusett is in Princeton off Rt.140 a few miles north of 62 & 31. Basically north of the cesspool. The indian name for the cesspool is Worcester (pr. wustaaah). ;)

I think your thinking of Mt.Greylock -- the highest point in MA at a whopping 3,491 feet above the sea!  Mt.Wachusett is even smaller at 2,006'. :o

Greylock is somewhat near Rt.2 in North Adams, just about at NY border.

Nice pics!

I think the best pic I ever took was of the sunrise over Cape Cod Bay when me, my brother & the ol' man were coming out of the canal.....

THAT'S the shot I wanted to get! 8-)

I never realized how big them things were until I saw them swimming around this spring in the bay. The baby calf swimming next to it was the size of our 21' boat! I was hoping they would come out of the water like that, but no such luck.

I even missed a few shots of the giant tail coming out of the water when they dive down. Had only my cell phone camera .... every time the tail went up, I was either sending or receiving a text or pic!

mr1precision, the shot of the reservoir looks like it was taken at the bottom of MIle Hill Rd. or maybe about 30' from the end. Am in the ball park?

Yup, thought so, got a customer that lives up top of the hill and I've come down that road quite a few times. Thanks.

That's the other strange thing about MA -- You can have 5 different accents within a 30 mile radius.

In the town I grew up in, we on the north end talked different then the folks on the south end -- about 6 miles away! :?:
