I am connecting the pre -fab chimney to the top of my hitzer stoker and wanted to use selkirk double wall pipe to vent it to the chimney. I thought since my wife and I would allways be around the pipe filling the stove with coal there would be less chance of burning ourselves with the double walled pipe. The problem is ythe pipe is made with a wood stove in mind and the joints are male end facing down toward the stove. In past threads this is wrong for coal. Has anyone used this kind of pipe , and can I flip it and still get everything to work right? Also if double wall is used how would I cut in the draft regulator? Thanks to anyone with ideas. :?

the idea of running the c vent backwards is so any creosote can run out of the pipe w/the condensation ,with the double wall insulated pipe I have seen the joints are tight regardless of which way you run it ,if the is the case & allthe joints are sealed it's not like petting the dog the wrong way the is no restriction in the pipe, I would let it stay

Like Jim said, it isn't a big deal. No creosote, no problem.
