Which Hot Water Coil for Mag Stoker?

In the other thread, lots of suggestions came through on HW systems, but I unfortunately still dont know which coil to order. My 50gal HW heater is due for replacement, so Im thinking of goingto an 80 Gal.

The Hilkoil 21T is my front runner. But I'd like to see what other's have used.

I have the 24S on my Mag stoker. Working great. Have a 40 gal tempering tank piggybacked into my 40 gal oil fired hot water heater. Love it when the girls take 1/2 hr showers and the the HW heater does'nt kick on.

Just dipped my oil tank. Using a little over 1/2 a gal a day (.60) to mantain the the oil fired boiler temp. Last time I got oil was in March.

thanks jimmy. i wonder if the 21t wouldnt be a way to extract that much more heat? the price difference is minimal at this stage of the game. just dont know if it will fit with its 10" width, perhaps at an angle it will.

im really ready to do this, even with the existing 50gal for now.

Anti reverse siphon flapper valve (is this needed to prevent heating the stove, or should I just have a shut off for when the stove is off?)

well hard to believe its beena YEAR since I gathered the other stuff, pump, relief valve, 80 gal h/w tank, but still dont know:

I had a 40ft. coil made from 316 SS 0.65 wall. It cost me about 550.00 which is not a bad price. They will fabricate a much smaller one for less money and it may fit your stove better. I had them fabricate mine into a large spring that will sit at the top of my stove. I have it 80% ready to go. I just need to install the coil into the stove.

I have whatever Hilkoil come from Harman. It the 7" wide single loop coil.

When the weather is cold, I get a LOT of HOT HOT water. In warmer weather when my stove is ideling, I don't get very much (but every bit helps).

Where in RI are you? [it's a small state so you can't be any more than 40 minutes from my house] I'm in Smithfield and you can come by my house to take a look if you would like.

Once you get yours hooked up tell all your neighbors how much moey your saving and then tell them you know of one that might be up for sale soon. Water coil installed
