INTERESTING EMAL FROM A BUDDY

Hey guys!!!!! Did somebody turn the lights out or am I just looking at this a little differently than most. Who the hell is saving all these barrels of gas. :? :? Who??? I'm sure it's not the taxpayer. You and I. That sounds like just a bunch of mumbo jumbo to keep people from looking at the truth. Truth is that there is no barrels of oil being saved, only barrels of oil being used. That is the truth. That money should never have been spent. It was put into the wrong place. It should have been used to finance better power distribution systems, upgrade train lines, finance solar power panel factories, fund programs that promoted increased fuel efficiency in vehicles. Things like that. Where are the real leaders of our great country? Is everyone so interested in having their opinion heard that their not willing to find and back a candidate that is in it for the best interest of the people.

Gee, if it was such a success on all points, let's do it with every product and industry. Why stop with just cars?

I'd like a $500 govt rebate off my next fridge, a $45,000 rebate off my next home purchase and a $50 dollar rebate off my next iphone. Let's just get every industry rolling again. Think of all the environmental benefits of that extra production, the boost to labor and the economy and the savings in energy and the added benefits of new design safety features.

Where's my check Uncle Sam?

This whole program was a complete & utter jokefest! ( similar to the Obamamaaaah adminssstrashuuunnnn  )

OK, so we saved XXX amount of gasoline .... but, so ... do they factor in the gasoline used to rev an engine to 3K Revolutions Per Minute (RPM -- for those who pay to have their cars fixed) ABOVE normal operating speed??? How about the engine puking fuel, oil & coolant at a rate 400x that of what it may expend over it's projected lifetime, when it finally seizes up from that lovely concoction of silica & water??????? (AGAIN being revved FAAAR beyond normal operation!!!) How about all the particulate emissions -- when oil reaches about 300* -- when the engine block reaches temps over & above what it would ever encounter on the highway?????

This is why I HATE environmentalists!!!!!!! You want to bust my ass for riding a motorcycle that has "AFTERMARKET" lights -- In a state that BLEEDS LIBERALISM, & BLEEDING-HEART ENVIRONMENTALISM -- Yet, because of your unreasonable lust for environmental "PERFECTION", you enact a program that saves XXX amount of gasoline on paper.......... but QUADROUPLES AT A MINIMUM THE AMOUNT OF PARTICULATES & CO2 EXPENDED INTO THE ATMOSPHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!1  :? :? :? All at TAXPAYERS EXPENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Until the damn liberal tree-hugger extremists forgo electricity, ANY internal-combustion engine, & the very ground they live on, I WILL NEVER CHANGE MY ANTI-ENVIRONMENTAL WAYS!!!!!!!

Hey libs! "GO F YOURSELVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

A man walked into a very high-tech bar. As he sat down on a stool he
noticed that the bartender was a robot. The robot clicked to
attention and asked, "Sir, what will you have?"

The man thought a moment then replied, "A martini please."

The robot clicked a couple of times and mixed the best martini the
man had ever had.

The robot then asked, "Sir, what is your IQ?"

The man answered "oh, about 164."

The robot then proceeded to discuss the 'theory of relativity',
'inter-steller space travel', 'the latest medical break throughs',
etc.......

The man was most impressed. He left the bar but thought he would try
a different tact. He returned and took a seat. Again the robot clicked
and asked what he would have? "A Martini please."

Again it was superb. The robot again asked "what is your IQ sir?"

This time the man answered, "Oh about 100". So the robot started
discussing Nascar racing, the latest basketball scores, and what to
expect the Dodgers to do this weekend.

The guy had to try it one more time. So he left, returned and took a
stool.... Again a martini, and the question, "What is your IQ?"??

This time the man drawled out "Uh..... bout 50".

The robot clicked then leaned close and very slowly asked,

"A-r-e? y-o-u-r? p-e-o-p-l-e??? h-a-p-p-y? w-i-t-h O-B-A-M-A?????

You are still missing the point. Everyone here in this forum and most everyone who is a tax paying citizen help buy cars for about 1in every 400 people. How much gas they save really is irrelevent to me. Quite frankly, how come nobody questions why someone who buys a new car needs the added incentive. They allready can afford it. Why should they be entitled to the free money. The government acts like they saved all this petroleum. They haven't saved crap. The people who bought the cars are the ones saving money. Its enough that I have to pay for all the programs for people who make less. I shouldn't have to pay to help people who make more to get cars to save them money! Am I the only one who sees this.

I think alot of the people under this program were foolish simply because their cars were worth more than what they got. But the program also helped keep many employed, put money back in circulation, helped the scrap industry as snopes mentions. Maybe we would have been better off if the auto makers failed( which they still could) but I don`t think so. Ford seems to be the only one that is producing cars in the right direction & they didn`t take the money. Most if not all of the foriegn cars are produced in this country, & they sell more because of what they make. Everyone would like to buy American but you know what your looking for & for the most part we don`t make it any longer.

Well I guess that hits the nail on the head. They should have used the money to produce AMERICAN cars that were what we wanted and needed.

Seems like a lot of people have selective memory loss, this mess didn`t just happen its been going on for a long time. The crap with big oil since the 70s, american cars have been going back to higher horsepower engines rather than smaller cars with better fuel economy for years & the biggest news of all the enconomy has not been fundamentally strong until nov.-dec. somewhere in there they finally noticed that we were in deep do-do. All this did not just happen. Just M.O.

No one put a gun to your head if you bought a Ford Excursion. You want it, you have the means, you make the decision, free will, period.

Manufacturers produce what is desired, humans have infinite desires, people want large, powerful and comfortable vehicles. At the same time Excursions were rolling off the assembly lines, you could have also bought an Escort or Focus.

Now, people want to control others decision, desires etc. Since they have no rights to impose their views directly on their neighbors they empower government to execute that action. This is toxic to Liberty and a anathema to the Constitution and the founding of our Republic.
