Could you be a little more specific, I think I can see that going in two different directions from where I am.

Hi Coalkirk, was the word 'blows' meant as an adjective? Meaning the fan does a lousy job...
Or, as a verb.. the fan blows the air around, as expected, and does a good job?

Hi Greg. Long time no see. Honestly it was just meant to be a wise crack. He asked how the fan worked, I said it blows which could be taken several ways. I heard you are up to your neck in renovations.
I bought one and it blows. Never really moved any heat. I tried it behind the stove on the floor , just above the stove , the other side of the room pionting at the stove , you name I put it there and different speeds. I get better movement with a pedastol fan behind the stove on low , with the stove fan. I think the Vornado would be great in the summer to pump cool air into the house at night.

Not a big difference but I have had some success with the Vornado blowing air up towards the stove. I believe the stove then is getting a supply of lower cooler air from the fan and blowing more warmer air out into the space. The fan is lower than my stoker, which sits on an elevated masonry fireplace.
