Yep, we just had a small 'bonfire' for the kids to roast marshmellows. There were no bugs out, It was great.
Right now, we are seeing mid 40s at night, and low 70's high 60's during the day. No frost yet, but tomatos are done for the year.
I have had the DVC-500 running for the last 36 hours. Had to open the windows during the day. Testing some new coal before I place a large order.

First frost warnings posted for tonight here in my corner of Wisconsin

It has been a bit chilly but not so bad if the occupants could bring their short memories on line and recall winter temperatures in my little place. They are after all comfortable - but not hot. Similar to last night.... But

This noon I was meet at the door by women with tools of punishment in hand

They were cold -- The dog was not getting off his bed to help me

I immediately fled to the boiler room and brought fire to bear under the Big NG boiler, but only turned on the bathroom and bedroom zones. :P

Sting's a heat Nazi!!!! All the money you saved setting up your primary/secondary loop and you don't take advantage of it's attributes during the "shoulder" season. Those poor women   No wonder the meet you with the rolling pins

That bloomberg article does not make sense. It says and a mild el nino results in warmer temps in the NE for Jan-March. How can we have warm temps in the winter and yet have the coldest winter in a decade? :?:

Yep, us too, had our first frost of the year. The chicken coop roof was covered, and parts of the lawn that was exposed. The lawn under the tree canopy did not have frost yet.

The really killer frost was last weekend. The sh\now was flying - but not sticking like above!

Yesterday I was up at 7 to finish a project - by 8 EVERYTHING was completely white with frost - and then by 8.30 the sun had most of that melted to just a cold dampness. Glad my project was in the shop and I could watch it out the North windows.

And I am not the Heat Nazi. I am simply frugal.

No snow yet - but I did repair the brakes on my snow plow before I quit yesterday. I plowed most of last season using the plow and clutch instead -- annoying but a challenge is fun too. O - did I mention - its just a yard truck

We had our first snow last night. Maybe an inch on the grass & roof before it changed to rain. Many mornings in the low 20's. Days were low to mid 40's last week.

The snow was clumpy. HUGE clumps, some the size of golf balls.
