efm 350 serial number and markings question

PostBy: vwgtiman On: Tue Sep 29, 2009 10:44 am

My efm 350 has the following markings; can anyone tell me what they all mean?

There is an H stamped inside what appears to ba a clover symbol or + symbol of some sort.

Steam is 15.

Water is 30.

MIN SVRC 115 IBS HR What is this?

The code on it is EF2549.

The date is MBI 1965. Not sure what MBI is???

The guage on it is Electric Furnace Man but has U.S. Guage on the bottom with 13877.

One thing, you're fortunate. It's a 'coded' boiler, suitable for residential or commercial use. The H stamp adds $500 to $2000 to the cost of a new one.

On all 350 & 520 your minimum feed rate is one tooth which is 2.5 lbs a hr on a S-15 stoker the max feed rate is 6 teeth 15lbs per hr The S-20 stoker is minimum feed rate is 1 tooth 2.5lbs per hr max feed rate was 8 teeth 20lbs per hr on the early S-20 they hand a shorter gearbox arm that only aloud the gear drum with the dog paw to move that far .
same goes for the S-15 gearbox arm plus the pot was smaller in size on the early models .
The later or newer S-20 pot with the longer gearbox arm will allow the drum gear plus the dog paw move to 10 teeth
which is 25lbs per hr minimum feed rate is still 1 tooth at 2.5 lbs per hr .
What name is stamped on the boiler top lo line general machine efm cobco so on .

The 520 is rated around 400# per hr and that is the steam rating. So, I would say that 115 is the steam rating.

I thought the steam rating was 350 and 520, that's how they were named? Are marked in sq inches of radiation for steam use? The AA-130 was rated at 540?
