Just 1" thick yellow fiberglass.
im back at this... picked up std yellow insulation at HD. It is ~15" wide and 3" thick. I can split it. Is there better stuff to use as in a wider sheet and truly only 1" thick? I think this will work; just need to figure out how to wrap it. Will duct tape work to band it around the boiler? Tips?

We use steel banding to hold it in place. Ours is the 1" x 48 wide stuff, yellow, no foil.
