We have alot of Red Maple on our property. When fall arrives, the leaves turn BRIGHT RED/Orange. Bee-u-ti-ful. Amazing what Mother nature can do.

I don't know if you guys are aware of it , but there is a new 'Foliage Tax' in the works. It will be 15% of your property assessment annually. Add that to the waterfront tax, the 'Bumpy Road' tax, the 'Cancer Stick Tax', the 'Environmental Impact Tax' of having more than one person per square mile....blah, blah, blah.
:oops2: bop2

Just kidding.....................................

Actually it is " DeVille Deval". I believe they are referring to the coupe, not the convertible :D

toothy

Not much of a show as far as foliage goes this year. I think we got too much rain & not enough heat this summer, plus an abrupt end to it with the sudden frost & snow all night last night.

Not quite done in eastern NYS yet. Might have another week. I'm at 900 feet so it's further along than in the valleys. Beautiful time of year here, something I really missed while living in SEPA. Never missed the snow though.

Ditto! Screw raking! 48inch Husqvarna takes care of chopping them all up. Great mulch for the grass. :D

When all is said and done, we have about 120 cubic yards of chopped compressed leaves. Rakes? Could not even begin to
think about it. Small hand held blowers for gutters and funky corners. Back pack blowers for rounding up into ROWS. Walk
behind blowers to pile them up. Small loader to get those piles sky high. Buddy with a truck vac comes in scoops the piles
and dumps them out back . Couple turns on the compost pile a year, and we have loam!
I cringe when I see people stuffing leaves into bags......oh the humanity :o
