My Econo Is up and Running!!
As I said I am a newbie with these types of stoves. Yes it is a power vent, the motor is mounted outside on this power vent. And yes the damper has been checked by the tech three different times and it is running perfect. No I don't run the stove open, only once in a great while do I up the temp on the thermostat a couple of degrees. I tried a bag of blaschak and noticed no real difference. One difference I noticed though is that I did not get the cluster of ash in the pan. Part of the trouble is the fan does not run at full speed. When I get a hot fire the fan will run on high for a short period of time and slows down. At that point I put the fan on manual via the thermostat until the fire dies down some. Then I will switch it back over auto.

Cowboy,
Which version of the Coal Trol do you have ??
Have you read through the new version 3 thread that they have posted ?? Here : Coal-Trol V3 Firmware Features
They do mention the fan starting and stopping issue.
Hang in there, we'll get this thing straightened out.
