Tennessee Football Prayer statement - Please read!

PostBy: DOUG On: Sat Oct 10, 2009 8:15 am

A friend of mine sent me this, I just thought that it would be an interesting topic for you guys.

I FIND IT INTERESTING THAT A HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL CAN SEE THE PROBLEM, BUT OUR SOCIETY CANNOT..

IF I OFFEND ANYONE BY THIS, I REALLY DON'T APOLOGIZE !

This is a statement that was read over the PA system at the football game at Roane County High School , Kingston , Tennessee ,

by school Principal, Jody McLeod

"It has always been the custom at Roane County High School

football games, to say a prayer and play the National

Anthem, to honor God and Country."

Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, I am told

that saying a Prayer is a violation of Federal Case

Law. As I understand the law at this time, I can use

this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and

call it "an alternate life style," and if someone is offended,

that's OK.

I can use it to condone sexual promiscuity,

by dispensing condoms and calling it, "

safe sex...." If someone is offended, that's OK.

I can even use this public facility to present the merits of killing an unborn baby as a "viable! means of birth control." If someone is offended, no problem...

I can designate a school day as "Earth Day" and involve students in activities to worship religiously and praise the goddess "Mother Earth" and call it "ecology.."

I can use literature, videos and presentations in the classroom that depicts people with strong, traditional Christian convictions as "simple minded" and "ignorant" and call it "enlightenment.."

However, if anyone uses this facility to honor GOD and to ask HIM to Bless this event with safety and good sportsmanship, then Federal Case Law is violated..

This appears to be inconsistent at best, and at worst, diabolical.

Apparently, we are to be tolerant of everything and anyone, except GOD and HIS Commandments.

Nevertheless , as a school principal, I frequently ask staff and students to abide by rules with which they do not necessarily agree.. For me to do otherwise would be inconsistent at best, and at worst, hypocritical.... I suffer from that affliction enough unintentionally. I certainly do not need to add an intentional transgression.

For this reason, I shall "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's," and refrain from praying at this time.

"However, if you feel inspired to honor, praise and thank GOD and ask HIM, in the name of JESUS, to Bless this event, please feel free to do so. As far as I know, that's not against the law----yet."

One by one, the people in the stands bowed their heads, held hands with one another and began to pray.

They prayed in the stands.. They prayed in the team huddles. They prayed at the concession stand and they prayed in the Announcer's Box!

The only place they didn't pray was in the Supreme Court of the United States of America- the Seat of "Justice" in the "one nation, under GOD."

Somehow, Kingston , Tennessee Remembered what so many have forgotten. We are given the Freedom OF Religion, not the Freedom FROM Religion. Praise GOD that HIS remnant remains!

JESUS said, "If you are ashamed of ME before men, then I will be ashamed of you before MY FATHER.."

If you are not ashamed, pass this on .

I'm not one bit ashamed to pass this on, Are you?

A recommended read this winter is The 5,000 Year Leap.

Read about its author too. Cleon Skousen thought Dwight Eisenhower was "dedicated, conscious agent of the Communist conspiracy,"

http://www.salon.com/2009/09/16/beck_skousen/

Toward the end of Reagan's second term, Skousen became the center of a minor controversy when state legislators in California approved the official use of another of his books, the 1982 history text "The Making of America." Besides bursting with factual errors, Skousen's book characterized African-American children as "pickaninnies" and described American slave owners as the "worst victims" of the slavery system.

Funny how people forget that the first amendment also includes an establishment clause when it comes to religion. I wonder how Mr McLeod would feel if a Muslim student wanted to read from the Koran at a football game.

Robert Welch said Dwight D. Eisenhower was a “dedicated, conscious agent of the Communist conspiracy,”. Skousen was in good company, it's called the John Birch Society.

The facts are that Communists were installed at high levels within the U.S. government, read up on the Venona project.

Communists are anti God and their agenda is still present. This is the reason you have witnessed the erosion and obfuscation of God and the importance of Divine Providence that the founding Fathers placed in our early documents.

just recieved the following. I agree with most of it except the bush part. long read but the bottom line is written on our currency. if you dont like it a million aircraft are leaving this nation for a place you might like better.

"QUOTE::::::

This says it all for me. I will be as loyal as my respect for the office will allow but that is it.

"I WILL NOT UNITE"

AS I PASS THIS ON TO MANY IN MY ADDRESS BOOK I AM AWARE OF THE FACT THAT SOME DAY I MAY NOT HAVE THE FREEDOM TO DO SO. VERY SCARY THOUGHT. And if you are watching what is going all around you, then you know what I mean. If this email doesn't make any sense to you, then you are in deep trouble. This would mean you are not aware of what is going on all around you.
I have noted that many elected officials, both Democrats and Republicans, called upon America to unite behind Obama.

Well, I want to make it clear to all who will listen that I AM NOT uniting behind Obama! I didn't unite behind Obama! I will respect the Office which he holds, and I will acknowledge his abilities as an orator and word smith and pray for him, BUT that is it.

I have begun today to see what I can do to make sure that He is a one-term President!

Why am I doing this?

It is because I do not share Obama's vision or Value system for America ;

I do not share his Abortion beliefs;

I do not share his radical Marxist's concept of re-distributing wealth;

I do not share his stated views on raising taxes on those who make $150,000+ (the ceiling has been changed three times since August);

I do not share his view that America is Arrogant;

I do not share his view that America is not a Christian Nation; (THIS JUST SHOWS HE CERTAINLY ISN'T UP ON HIS AMERICAN HISTORY!)

I do not share his view that the military should be reduced by 25%;

I do not share his view of amnesty and giving more to illegals than American Citizens who need help; (NO WAY, JOSE!)

I do not share his views that Radical Islam is our friend and Israel is our enemy who should give up any land; (GIMME A BREAK!)

I do not share his spiritual beliefs (at least the ones he has made public);

I do not share his beliefs on how to re-work the healthcare system in America ;

I do not share his Strategic views of the Middle East, and certainly do not share his plan to sit down with terrorist regimes such as Iran .

Bottom line, my America is vastly different from Obama's, and I have a higher obligation to my Country and my God to do what is Right!

For eight (8) years, the Liberals in our Society, led by numerous entertainers who would have no platform and no real credibility but for their celebrity status, have attacked President Bush, his family, and his spiritual beliefs!

They have not moved toward the center in their beliefs and their philosophies, and they never came together nor compromised their personal beliefs for the betterment of our Country! They have portrayed my America as a land where everything is tolerated except being intolerant!

They have been a vocal and irreverent minority for years; they have mocked and attacked the very core values so important to the founding and growth of our Country!

They have made every effort to remove the name of God or Jesus Christ from our Society!
They have challenged capital punishment, the right to bear firearms, and the most basic principles of our criminal code; they have attacked one of the most fundamental of all Freedoms, the right of free speech! And they forgot what this country was built on .... Christian principles! They fail to realize when they took "God out of everything" this country went on a downhill spiral fast and still is!

Unite behind Obama? Never!

I refuse to retreat one more inch in favor of those whom I believe are the embodiment of Evil!

PRESIDENT BUSH
Made mistakes during his Presidency, (EVERY PRESIDENT DOES) however; I believe that he weighed his decisions in light of the long established Judeo-Christian principles of our Founding Fathers!!!

Majority rules in America , and I will honor the concept; however, I will fight with all of my power to be a voice in opposition to Obama and "his goals for America " Because I am going to be a thorn in the side of those who, if left unchecked, will destroy our Country!! Any more compromise is more defeat!

I pray that now Obama is President and has shown his true colors, everyone concerned will wake up the many who have sat on the sidelines and allowed the Socialist-Marxist anti-God crowd to slowly change so much of what has been good in America!

"Error of Opinion may be tolerated where Reason is left free to combat it." - Thomas Jefferson
"If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under."- Ronald Reagan
GOD BLESS AMERICA , AND AMERICA , BLESS GOD!
Pass this on if you agree. Thanks!
Now the ball is in your court.
If you agree with this I strongly suggest you pass this on. If we wait and let everyone else do it, this message may end here and we will fall prey to the inevitable which is very close. We are about to loose the freedom we have cherished for so long unless YOU AND I .... WAKE UP NOW! Are you hearing what I am saying?.... WAKE UP FOR GOD'S SAKE! "IN GOD WE TRUST" "

Yet after 9/11 Bush had a 90% approval rating. It seems at least 75% of Democrats were able to suck it up despite their differences with him, to support the President in the nations time of need. He held most of that support until he invaded Iraq.

If we're attacked again will the GOP be as patriotic?

Maybe we can finally develop a third party. Tea Party? Constitution Party? I doubt it as most Americans are now just lazy and will only pay attention if there is something that will directly benefit themselves even if it hurts the country. This is why socialism may very well win. Even here in conservative Tennessee there are entirely too many people who believe we are an arrogant nation and we should join the global community and all get along as brothers and coombyf******yah. Sorry.

I can only imagine what it must be like to live in the more liberal states. Even here there were many who would be embarrassed by that great PATRIOT principal. :mad:

I was flabbergasted when my buddies told me what goes on (or no longer goes on) in schools nowadays ...... just plain sad. Further proof that they are probably right about 2012. If this is the way things are going to be, one can only hope .... :|
