Who's going to light up today?

Who's going to light up today?

PostBy: ceccil On: Sun Oct 11, 2009 3:53 pm

Just wondering how many are going to be lighting up today. Weather Bug is showing freeze warnings for most of NY and PA. I have been idling along for about a week or so to keep the chill off. Have only used about a hoppers worth of coal since firing up. Will top it off today and empty the ash pan. Supposed to get down into the mid to upper 20's tonight.

Flipped 2 switches and closed 1 damper on the Alaska this morning (that starts up the forced-air system). Lighting the hand-fed is not far off!

OOPS! Wrong state! :D

I flipped two switches, reversed 7 valves, and lit one match this morning. The Axeman Anderson has fire in the hole!

Lit up the furnace today. Not much call for heat yet but it's starting to get chilly out!

Brought our Citrus trees inside for the winter, today. They can't take below 40F weather. Fired up the DVC-500 at 3:00 this afternoon. It ws sunny out, but 68F in the house. Not bad, but I knew it would get colder tonight, so went ahead and stoked it up.

Well I finally gave in to the wife and kids and closed the windows.

Kitchen oven should keep the house above 40 tonight if she cooks.
