Average energy usage per month?

Average energy usage per month?

PostBy: lundys On: Tue Oct 13, 2009 10:06 am

Just curious what you would estimate as the average monthly cost to run a new LL stoker stove on default settings? I know it will vary based on how hard the stove is working, but let's just say it's working a medium / average amount. How much am I paying in electricity each month to run the stove? Just a rough guess anyone?

Edit: forgot to mention, I am using the Coal Trol thermostat.

Thanks!

P.S. - by the way, I love my new LL Pocono stove! See: First Experience (ever) with Leisure Line Pioneer

About 40 cents a day running full bore for electricity.
180 Watts x 24 / 1000 x .1 ( 10 cents per KW )

Mine adds about $10 cold out and $15 in the coldest of winter. Thats the stove , 2 fans behind the stove and 2 fans pumping heat into the basement , from each end of the house. All 4 fans are on low.
