Yeah, that's the picture I had in mind..but, I can see that the balanced handle of the other scoop would be easier on the forearm when your moving a few pounds of rock!

Kevin, I use a small wagon to get my coal from the outside bin. I roll it right under the bin chute, fill 'er up, then roll it right inside the door alongside the stove. It holds about 200lbs, two hopper's worth of rice. The feed-scoop I use is perfect for scooping it out of the wagon, and putting it in the hopper.

My Hyfire will get fines or chunks under the burn plate, it will make a scaping or grinding sound.

If yours is setup the same as mine, you can drop the stoker motor and gentle slide the pusher plate out and then slide it back in pushing the front down (Hold the back up) to clean it out. Usually work for a while, and you don't have to unload the coal, you will loose some off the burn plate, but beats emptying the hopper....

I just pulled mine out and it had a bunch of fines stuck under the plate....
