what does the min and max settings do ?? where should they be set at ?? Thanks

Look in the manual, it has factory setting for many stoves, I think the LL stoves are 6 and 40. But can be adjusted slightly for maximum performance.

You have to make small changes and watch the results so you are not wasting coal or getting a flame out. I think I have mine on 10 and 48 or something like that.
