My husband just installed our Hyfire II and we love it. Our question is how to run just one burner instead of both at the same time. We don't need both running right now. Do we just unplug the feed and blower for one burner so that it doesn't run, or is there another way? Don't see anything in the instructions addressing this. Thanks!
Oh, another question, when shutting down one side, what is the best or easiest method, i.e., unplug stoker and let the coal burn out or unplug the combustion blower and just let the coal go out from lack of air flow, or does it even matter?
Just unplug the combustion blower and stoker, you dont want to waste coal if you leave the stoker motor on. It usually shuts down pretty fast without any air 5-20+ mins. there still could be warm coal underneath, so don't touch it for a while. (if you are cleaning it out or something)
