Question for Jerry: Jacket/Coil options for Pioneer

Does LL make jacket/coil options for the Pioneer top vent ?

Any stove you can add a hot water coil to. They are not usually specific except for length, look at http://www.hilkoil.com

With a top vent stove, might be a little more difficult to get a jacket around it the exhaust pipe. I see the ones on LL sites, are only for the Hyfires.

Hi SmokeCityTeacher, we have several models of stove to provide a solution for varied needs. Currently the Pioneer is our "in the living area" stove and so we don't generally offer it with a hot air jacket, duct top or DHW Coil. Having said that we will make anything you want, if you want a duct top or a hot air jacket we can make one to your specifications (as far as duct outlet shape and size). Also a DHW coil can be installed in that stove without any problem, and while I don't have the history of how many we have sold with coils I'm sure there have been a few.

I definitely need a basement model. It looks like the Pocono+jacket+coil is the way to go. That 200# hopper sure makes life simpler.

My closest dealer is Indiana PA. I just talked to him. He'll sell me a Pocono for about $2500 and says he can fit it with an air jacket and coil.
My old triple brick house has a very large "12 x "12 masonary chimney that is almost 60' ft high (basement to 10' above roofline of 3r'rd fl.) and it has a very powerful draft.
This chimney should be plenty capable of venting the Pocono.
I think I have all the info I need.

So You know the Hyfire comes standard with a 14" round duct connection and the Pocono comes with a 12" round duct connection . If you want anything different like Matt said let us know when ordering . Also if you want the holes already installed drilled for the coil let us know what side you want them on . Plan it before ordering to save yourself on pipe . Thanks ,Dave

By "us" do you mean my local LL dealer Im planing to buy the unit from next week, or do you mean that special configurations must be done by "you" (i.e. Jerry or Flyer5?) or someone at LL headquarters?

I talked to the LL dealer in Indiana PA and he said he is the "one stop shop" and will configure and install the Pocono top with a jacket +coil option any way I want.

Are you saying that for the configuration I'm describing, I need to involve someone other than my nearest LL dealer in Indiana Pa?

If so - specifically who do I contact ?

I appreciate your patience explaining the process.

I don't want to go to Indiana and spend over $3,000 and not get exactly what I want and need -- or get something done incorrectly by someone who is not the authorized person to fabricate or configure an LL stove with special options.

If the dealer is doing his own jacket and coil that is fine . I was stating that if the dealer is ordering these options from us (meaning Leisure Line ) when he orders the stove give the dealer the most accurate description that meets your needs and we will try to help the best we can .We want your install to be as easy as possible and make sure you are another happy LL owner. There are a few things we promised ourselves when buying this business from Jerry is .1 : we will continue the great customer service that Jerry has carried through the years .2 : We will continue to build a USA made product with USA made materials with USA people working. if you have a big old house ,you may really want to look at the hyfire 2 it's only a couple hundred more than a pocono,And is double the heat when you really need it.Don't get me wrong the pocono is a great stove and I love mine.I have a hot air jacket with duct fan on mine ,hooked up on the hot air side of my duct .
