I've worn Levi's since high school. A few years ago the company shifted production from the USA to several foreign countries. They don't fit right anymore, I had one pair with one leg longer then the other. I have bought my last pair.
Two or three years ago, we spent a small fortune on a brand new Master Bedroom set "Old Italian Cherry ". It is a High-end name brand furniture maker, they have been making furniture for 100 years in North Carolina. It is bee-u-ti-ful. When they delivered it all, I noticed a big stencil on the back of all the pieces....

Same thing happened with my mother a few years ago with a dining room set. I asked the furniture store owner about this and he said it was cheaper to ship boat loads of wood overseas and ship boat loads of completed furniture back than it was to have it made in the states. He said if the furniture was made in the USA nobody would pay the price for it.DVC500 at last wrote:Two or three years ago, we spent a small fortune on a brand new Master Bedroom set "Old Italian Cherry ". If it takes me the rest of my life (at least until I'm old enough to tap into the 401K anyway) I am getting those hot air ducts out of the cellar and installing a hydronic system.
I said that if I smash into one of those ducts one more time they will be gone. That was 2 collisions ago. They are toast-history-scrap metal. Anyone want to buy a Lennox hot air furnace with a Beckett flame retention burner? It has about 1 hour run time on it. I'll throw the oil tank in for free (you dig it up...) 20 years of wacking my head into them, I must have some sort of brain damage from it-that must be why I keep doing it.

John, cover it with spray-foam.Wood'nCoal wrote:20 years of wacking my head into them, I must have some sort of brain damage from it-that must be why I keep doing it.

Hot air ducts are OK if you are only 3 feet 6 inches tall, otherwise they make great SCRAP METAL!
Fortunately they aren't ever sharp, so some poor unsuspecting person wouldn't lose any skin working with the damned things......right!!!
They are very good at spreading dust and moving air around however....and gotta love that loooonnnngggg lasting, slow release, even heat from the 130 degree air........
Who would ever want hydronics anyway? Wonder what a long hot air shower would feel like? .. or perhaps the ever popular warm air hot tub......or a relaxing soak in the warm air tub....especially after you have goffed you head on the razer sharp corner of the duct at the bottom of the stairs, been to the ER, got some cool drugs, and a neat scar....
Perhaps hydronics could be a credible choice.

Forgot to add-a coal fired boiler-of course. Wifey says to leave it alone, who would buy a house with a coal boiler in the cellar? I replied "not my problem, I won't be around by then!". Still doesn't get it, I guess.
Sure is... male or female, lol.Freddy wrote:Ya, but some of the fwd fwd fwd are truthful...I got this one today...the cutest little ass you've ever seen.
I want to hug that little ass...guess you've all figured out by now I'm an animal lover.
