Well I have officially had it! I'm sick of getting emails from well-meaning friends about all sorts of nonsense, these are always forwarded by the sender, they are always written in incredibly HUGH type, in different colors, and warn about all sorts of terrible things that are about to happen to my computer, me, or the entire world around me. There is always this disclaimer:

Just verified this with Snopes and it is REAL. ALSO WENT TO TRUTH OR FICTION , IT'S on their site also.

The latest one is from a friend and is about the virus that is going to destroy my entire computer.

Emails with pictures of Osama Bin-Laden hanged are being sent and the moment that you open these emails your computer will crash and you will not be able to fix it!

This is about the 50th time I have gotten this e mail.

Just wanted to vent.

Anyone who would like to complain about anything, please feel free.

Putting a virus in a standard image file or any media file is really hard. They don't execute. There only one exploit(s) I'm aware of that ever happened with images had to do with EXIF data being exploited.

I used to get all those "Urban Legend" and Chain-mail emails as well. I started sending them back to the sender, usually a relative or friend, with a link to the proof that what they are sending out is CR@P and not to send any more of those to me. It worked. I got less friends and relatives now, but it worked.

Yep, if it's FWD FWD FWD it's deleted deleted deleted. Problem is they just forwarded your email addy to who knows who.

That's exactly what I have been doing, and not one of them has replied with a "Thank you". Actually they haven't replied at all.

I hate getting emails about buying viagra and cialis by the boat load. WTF! Some of the pics are very naughty. Hope my kids dont see them.

Educate the idiots...err friends, to remove all addresses and forwarded crap if they choose to send something to you. If I don't know the source, it's off to the trash bin. Nothing like 3 pages of addresses attached to a meaningless 'feel good' message. How about a stiff fist against your head, buckwheat!!

Send this to another idiot in ten minutes and you will be saved from 4 more years of the current administration.......
