It shouln't be dumping heat if it is trying to heat up. Maybe the dump zone is set to low? If the house is not calling for heat why is it overheating? 1 Dot??? Mine would go out in a heart beat if I had it that low. I am at a freckle under 2 dots.

Ah, but my run time is at 2 min on so maybe that explains it.

Did you hook the jumper up correctly in the dump zone control? There is a little connector that has to be changed from heating to cooling because that is what it is supposed to do. It works backwards if you do not change it. There is one in the main thermo control also that is set up for heating. They all come in the cooling position I think.

At the very least the circulator should not run when the temp drops unless the house is calling for heat. It should maintain heat and prehaps overrun, and then the S350? should turn on the dump zone. It is adjustable also. Go back to the installation instructions.

Pg. 21 of the owners manual shows the jumpers in the heating position in the A350 and the cooling position in the S350. This sounds like your problem. IF not, something is not hooked up correctly.

Here is the photo of the S350 controller.
Your jumper should be set for COOL with both
jumpers in horizontal position.
This way it will dump the heat if it overheats.
Sounds like you have the jumper set for HEAT position.

Thanks I checked the jumpers and they are correct . After hours of monitering it appears I was wrong in that the pump is not running but the water is moving on its own . Is it possible to move by heat or gravity or who knows what. I don't think the pump has run for 3 hours but the trunk line is hot and temp is holding at 73 ???
My Brother installed a new boiler system in his place last yr. and was having the same prob. all it was the flow control valves were wide open from the factory when he purchased them I turned em closed and everything is hunky dory now.

You must not have zone valves either? The loop is open with just a circulator in it to move the water? My system has no flow checks and I don't get gravity feeding unless the power goes out and opens the Automags. Then just one zone that is higher then the boiler.
