Good luck in New Jersey. Is Corzine as unpopular as Florio was years back? A friend of mine said NJ is now almost as heavily taxed as NY. If so, thats a big change from when I lived there. South Jersey was a pretty decent place to live and the taxes were less than in PA.

NJ has the highest property taxes in the nation.

I don't think Corzine is as unpopular as Florio was, but it's time to give him the boot.

Ouch! I looked at the tax records for my old house in NJ. It's worth about 70% more than when I owned it but the property taxes are about 2.5 times what I was paying 13 years ago.

I have fond memories of those "Impeach Florio" bumper stickers I used to see on cars.

I agree with that ....... I went to some town (can't remember name) in north Jersey to buy a bike a few years ago - you could see the Manhattan skyline from there - & the guy told me he paid $12,000/year property taxes!!!! :eek2: :no2:  When he told me what his house was worth & what his neighbors houses sold for, I about died!! I thought MA was bad .... well, it is - near Boston it's the same. But these were normal looking houses & yards, not 4,000 sq.ft. mansions!

Got one today.

I heard Corzine was paying people to get the Dems who usually don't vote to vote by mail (unconfirmed), Sussex county is a Republican stronghold in a predominately Democrat state, wonder why I live here...
