after 21 years in florida for the most part it sucks. mass sucks bad, ny very bad, nj quite bad,georgia also quite bad. Az was nice but is changing, Wa state sucky, cali sucks....nepa is on its way for sure


i loved NH vermont maine didnt stay long enough to get negative....

2 stroke 4 stroke riding spots, lake and river playgrounds snowmobile...ect

having the wicked fastest machine eliminates the issues on these things as its to much fun screaming away from the bubble gum machine lights!!!!!

Hate to break it to ya Paulie, but the folks with the "set" that you describe are looooong gone .... and are replaced with whining, me! me! me!, rich, spoiled liberals. We are NOWHERE NEAR the state we were during the revolution -- our ancestors are turning in their graves in disgust as I type! The few with the set are fighting in Iraq & Afghanistan .....

Everyone I know around here has moved to FL or elsewhere & have no desire to come back! I have one friend that did & tries to get me to move there every day! If I wasn't married, I'd be gonzo....

This state USED to be great .... until people started making money hand over fist. Now the once blue collar neighborhoods are overrun with yuppies in 4,000 sq ft hip roof colonials. They have no clue what it's like to hunt, fish, ride off-road or any of that. Husband goes to work out in Paulie's 'hood & brings home 6 figures & builds a mansion in the middle of a blue collar development - then invites all his buddies ... then they invite their buddies ...... the wife sits on the couch all day (when not out spending $$$ at the yuppie mall that was built on my old trails ....) & cries at all the PETA commercials, & all the other liberal causes that get plastered across the TV set during the day. SO ...... these are the people VOTING in MA -- the rest of us have to work for a living ....... THAT is what has changed in the last 25 years.

Sure, you could argue that the off-road community has screwed themselves by being irresponsible .... that's what the libs say. I say people have just become PUSSIES - every little noise makes them freak out & call the cops. People are just spoiled. Some people enjoy different modes of entertainment. But the main cause of all this is there are just TOO MANY PEOPLE!!! The libs want to keep letting illegal immigrants in & sit back & do nothing about it while every aspect of our lives gets overburdened (school overcrowding, healthcare, traffic, etc.).

I agree - it's really NOT that bad if you look at it from a historical, geographical or from a crime perspective -- AZ had waaaay more car & general thefts. But the bottom line is MOST people here -- NOT all -- are just liberal saps. Sheep that will follow Obama & the Kennedy's wherever that slime trail will lead. You won't find ANY of that out here in my neighborhood, thankfully.

I'm willing to bet you haven't lived anywhere else Paulie - I can tell. Otherwise You'd agree with me!

Seeing that your so concerned about my "set", why don't you grow your own & live in the country ...move out of that congested cesspool & live off the land, make your own way, maybe enjoy a blast on an ATV?

I now live in Maine. My parents had the foresight back then,when we were kids,and were struggling then financially. We lived in West Wareham. That was 1969. They went bankrupt,the bank got the house,they packed up the stationwagon, and had just enough money in their pockets for gas to get to Maine. I dont want to hear it cant be done,because they had 5 kids in tow and a dog.They sold just about everything they owned. We lived with my grandparents and before the winter was over,my parents had jobs & we had a house to rent. If one is serious about changing a way of life,then it certainly will be hard,but can be done,it all depends on what your willing to give up. I went back to Mass, to live and work as a young adult,but I didnt stay very long,I think it was 3 years-I had a darn good job-health insurance,and a savings account,but I couldn't stand the rat race, I came back to Maine,packing my car,no job,and a car payment. I have no doubt I could have done it better,planning it out better for the escape. I survived,had a job within 4 months, took me a bit longer to get my own place,so I lived with my dad for awhile. I would never go back there for any money,none of my family ever would either. Its rough at times living up here,but the trade is worth it.

That's not my bone of contention here - did you read my last post? As much as I hate the GOVERNMENT and CITY ATMOSPHERE & that way of thinking (usually liberal), I'm not in an all fire rush to leave. I'm getting by ..... all my bills are paid (except credit cards).... and I live in a perfect neighborhood that suits my lifestyle & my neighbors are awesome. My family & lifelong friends are here .... I feel like a broken record now. ... although most their parents have moved out of state already. My parents have been wanting to move forever -- my old neighborhood is overrun with yuppies that I just described. Come home with a deer carcass on a trailer & they all stare & whisper in shock! What kind of people are these? Not the kind I want to live near, that's for sure.

I DID do something about it. I house hunted for almost 2 years before finding this one. It's as good as I'm going to get it in this part of the country for the money. I still can't believe I'm here -- I wake up everyday & thank God things worked out the way they did. I VENT on the forum about life here ....... because I HAVE lived in other states! I know how much EASIER life can be!!!

The whole purpose of this thread WAS IN JEST ........ SEE? I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT HATES LIVING HERE! I got a laugh out of reading some of the posts on those links that I posted -- I thought it was funny. Now the thread has turned into a pissing contest about having a "set". If everyone's so concerned about my set, your more than welcome to stop by here so I can PROVE IT TO YOU. You don't want to go down that road...........
