Noisy Combustion blower

I recently fired up my LL Pioneer Top Vent that was purchased back in July of this year, and after running for about 1 1/2 days the combustion blower has become quite noisy. Sounds like something is loose in the motor or possibly a bad bearing. Just curious if this is a known issue or if there is a fix for it. The stove sits in our family room and the blower has become quite the noise maker and a bit annoying to listen to. I did make sure the screws and bolts were tight, thinking the whole blower might be loose but that wasn't the case. I did notice if i place enough pressure on the motor of the blower the noise deadens but doesn't completely go away. (and i have to place a fairly large amount of pressure for that)

Any help would would be greatly appreciated.

you might have to unbolt it and put some nylon washers or a flat gasket around the opening and make sure its tight. usually between the flange and the stove it can sometimes rattle.

Also check the squirrel cage itself, the inlet screen (if it has one) and the set screw on the squirrel cage blower itself, sometimes they come loose.

Have you lubricated the motor when you had it off?

I have an old pioneer and mine had a sheetmetal cover around the stoker motor that would sometimes vibrate like hell when the combustion fan was running. I just removed this cover and solved the problem. I don't know if the new pioneers have this cover or not but it may be worth taking a look.

Hello, I just fired up my Alaska Channing 3 and all went well. The only thing Ive noticed is there is a ticking noise from the combustion blower.? Is there a spot to lubricate the blower motor? or is this a normal sound.? Would it be a big job to remove combustion blower to check it out when when stove is down.

No inlet screen so I don't think that is an issue. Everything seems really tight, the noise seems to be coming from the actual motor but i will make sure the blower is tight against the stove. If a gasket fixes it that would be great. The only time the motor has been off is when it was shipped to me and I assembled the stove. It is only 4 months old and this is the first time it has run for any amount of time. so it shouldn't need any lubrication, at least i wouldn't think it should. Thanks for the help.

A replacement blower will be on the way tomorrow, then we will look at the old one to evaluate any issues it might have. Sorry for the inconvenience.
