Car guessing game!!

PostBy: ScubaSteve On: Tue Nov 10, 2009 8:27 pm

I am floored by this.... try to guess which car I am talking about. I am going to buy a 2003 car that retailed new for $45,000 to $55,000. It can now be had for roughly $8,500 to $12,000 in GREAT shape! What make and model am talking about?? I ll chime in when someone guesses correctly :)

Barring a wreck or a Reconstructed titled car, I would buy a MB E300D turbo diesel. That would be my choice. But I'd guess the value in 2009 would still be nearly double what you are saying for the MB.

Must be some high end US made SUV with plenty of options. If you are buying a MB, stay away. MB didn't make a really robust model since the 124 chassis which ended in 1995.

Good luck.

Chrysler......and I agree with CAP, MB isn't what it used to be!

Caddy had some pricey domestics, and the resale would be like the "Glide Ratio" of a boulder!!!!!!!!!!! So did Buick, as did Lincoln, as did Chrysler. Let's tell it like it is: There are no domestics that will be remembered as the EFM of automobiles!

I'm going for the Buick again, don't know there models well, but fine cars, especially as used vehicles. Great value, good service record.

You have my interest, and I've listed all the domestics except the Olds. If it's not a GM vehicle, give another hint, please.  :woot: :bang: :stretcher: :alone:

The H 1 was a real vehicle. Tough, great ground clearance, POS diesel.....man, what were they thinking! Let Cat make the motors....Penske....Cummings.
