NH roll call

PostBy: ckf On: Fri Nov 13, 2009 8:39 am

How many coal burners from NH on on the forum?

I'm from the lakes lakes region and have been burning coal for about 20 years. Last year I switched to a stoker stove and life is much easier. Here is a link to my website that has some webcams and my weather station.

Absolutely Smitty! Come on up, you are an honorary member already. If you are smart enough to utilize a fuel that is provided in America with the money staying here, you are welcome anytime.

Many are playing: 'don't ask, don't tell'. I personally know of about 50 folks burning.

I even know of a bunch that went to pellets and migrated back to black gold.

How many would like to have a central depot for bagged and bulk? It could happen in less than 30 days. And I mean at fair prices. Rice, buck, pea and nut. 50 lb bags or 50 tons. Stay tuned.

I love the folks that ask: What happens when coal gets wet? Simple answer is: You have wet coal!
The pellet burners ask what happens when pellets get wet? You just set 290/ton on fire....eeeerrrrr, into an expanded pile of sawdust................that won't burn again and is a mess to clean up. Termites don't even want it!
Perhaps others are outside filling the wood boiler with it's daily quota....say 1/4 cord for the day.

Sounds great! Since my local distributor that sold bulk went out of business several years ago I cringe every time I buy coal. Keep us posted.

Just checking in for the Role Call..
Had temps to 17 deg. this past week. Been buring Blaschek Pea since Oct. 1st. 24/7. 2 nd season with a Mark III Harman. Burnt 14 years with a Chubby down in Ma.

To heck with all those Arab's and other foreign and domestic oil people. I've only used 100 gal.s in a year and that was mostly for Hot Water.
