NY MORE FEES, NEW LICENSE PLATES...YUK.

I hate NYS's excuses to squeeze more money out of it's citizenry, but, i'll be honest, I actually really like that retro plate design - reminds me of the 80's

I like how the license plates look. I think they look retro

Retro my a-- you know-- we miss alot of the action out here in Freetown,but,last time I spoke w/Jim Seward,I beleive he said that the liscense plate change-over was a done deal,as in no go.I hope I heard correctly--God knows there's enough to bi--- about up here in NY,and everywhere else unfortunatly---then there is gass drilling that the state has gotten involved with granted there are safety issues that need to be addressed,but,to tell a man he CAN'T do something on his own land???I don't know what kind of a can of worms that's opening

They'll find some other way to raise $ instead of cutting spending.

I think they've resorted to a tried and true method for raising $$$.

I saw the troopers out in force this past weekend handing out tickets. Maybe just the end of the month quota rush but who knows.

NYS troopers are the only ones I know of who give out tickets if one of your lights are out. Whenever I've been pulled over for a light elsewhere they've always given me a chance to replace it first. If you don't and are pulled over again you get a real ticket.

To me they are the modern equivalent of the highwayman. They hold you up for your gold at every opportunity to collect taxes for King Richard (Patterson). In other states most of the time I see troopers on the highways they are assisting motorists. In NYS they usually are giving out tickets.

It is for this reason that I will no longer drive in NY. Sucks too, because there's been alot of bikes I would have bought there from eBay. They're only hurting themselves ...

Wake up boy's if you get a ticket for a light, a bald tire, a cracked windshield, etc, in the state of NY all you need to do is get it fixed within 24 hrs and take the ticket to any state police station or inspection station and the ticket is withdrawn, if it's a windshield all you have to do is show proof that you have an appointment made to replace it, but thanks for putting free money into our state again
