Reporting Problems with the Website

I have had problems logging on to the site the whole day. For me this is rather frustrating as 70 percent of my internet time is devoted to this website. I love this forum, just cant stand it when its down. This is the first site i check each morning and just about every hour or two throughout the day and the last site before i go to bed. Its sort of like crack for me. I need this place constantly :D

Hey me too. I havent done my research but i think its due to high traffic on the forum. The forum can only handle so many users at once. At least thats my theory...

Traffic is not the issue, it could probably handle 10X if not more. If it were a resource problem I'd get better server. ;)

The host is having issues with server I'm on, I may move to another one but it's a PITA.

I have problems logging on occasionally, it just times out. Try it again and it's an instant connect. Yesterday, 1/31/2010, was different there were hours at a time when the site was completely unavailable. Today no problem. Maybe because it's a new month. :-)

It is very possible other forums could be using the same hardware, and having the same issues, as NEPA.
Unless NEPA is on dedicated boxes of its own.

The chances of someone being on the same server and finding one of those sites is like finding a needle in a haystack. This site is on a VPS that is one step down from dedicated. It's like a cross between shared hosting and dedicated. The two big differences though, while shared hosting account might have hundreds or even thousands on the same machine there might be 15 clients on this one. In addition I have full root access for it just like you would have with dedicated server. Basically its a dedicated box without all the resources but what I do have can easily support the traffic here.

I couldn't log on for the last 20 minutes or so. It was a typical "page was taking too long to respond" message.
