Anyone have Canon Rebel xsi experience?

PostBy: titleist1 On: Wed Nov 18, 2009 6:03 pm

I am looking at a Canon Rebel xsi with a 18-55mm and 55-250mm telephoto lens for my wife for a present. She is not a pro, but takes many pics for church events, dance recitals, softball games, and other family / social activities. Is this about the right level of technology for her usage?

We have the Rebel XT (Digital) and it's just like a 35mm, you can pretty much set on Automatic and it does a really good job, or if you want to play with the settings, works good to. I think ours is 8.1 megapixel, we only have it set on med. and the pics are really good.

If you need more flash for a bigger area, look into an external flash, the built in ones does't go more than about 20 feet.
