I already got my wife a present -- not a surprise to her, but now I don't have to listen to her ask why she can't have ONE when I have 15 or so (can't remember...) ....... I didn't pay crap for it either! Seals the deal for me to buy more for meself ....

Anything small, shiny, glittery, expensive and useless usually works.
My old girlfriend was really down to earth, I got her a toolbox of tools once as side present because she needed them. Actually went over very well and she proudly showed them to anyone. She needed them though as every time I went to fix something no damn tools.

How 'bout gift certificates? Not for Walmart, but things like oil changes, movie theater tickets, her beauty shop/tanning salon, sporting events, favorite coffee shop or restaurant, or a specialty shop that caters to her interests (kitchen shop, art gallery, fabric shop, Cabelas). You can support her interests and not screw up by getting the wrong size, color, vacuum cleaner model.

My wife said "Get me something expensive, get me something I don't really need". So.... I scheduled her for a colonoscopy.

When I was single I really wanted two things - a Makita drill and an electric screwdriver. I really needed both of those things, but no one would buy them for me. Not considered good presents for a female! I had to buy the drill myself, and I did get that Makita, and just settled for a regular set of screwdrivers.Richard S. wrote:Anything small, shiny, glittery, expensive and useless usually works.

Herpies is the gift that keeps on giving.samhill wrote:How about a ton of coal. The gift that keeps on giving.
Hmmmm, good idea.... Maybe I'll get my wife a small toolset. She's always "Borrowing" my tools, but never returns them. I once found my framing hammer in the dinning room cubbard!Pocono Newbies wrote: When I was single I really wanted two things - a Makita drill and an electric screwdriver.
