Best Antivirus Program

Cap, I'm no Mac expert, but if you Google "do macs need antivirus'" I think you'll find most of the articles listed say "no." There are two reasons given. One, the Unix-based OS X is inherently more secure than Windows, and therefore virus attacks are generally unsuccessful. Two, Mac has such a low market share of all personal computers it's unlikely virus writers would bother, because even a successful virus attack wouldn't affect that many machines.Cap wrote:Do I need virus protection for my Mac?
A few articles give a qualified no.These articles mostly say that just because it hasn't happened yet, it might. It does appear that most Mac users feel they're safe without virus protection.
Suggest you check out a few of the Mac forums on the web and see what real experts say (not saying there aren't any "real Mac experts" here )
