what is best manometer to buy and where?

PostBy: stiffner On: Thu Nov 26, 2009 1:06 pm

I had some issues the other day with losing draft and carbon monoxide detector going off. I was not home but wife called about alarm. It went up to about 58 degrees,no call for heat, low fire idle fire condition. I currently have my oil burner tied in with coal stove but definetly going to disconnect and install a power venter on oil burner. I need to get this set up right to avoid further problems. Sounds like I need to establish what kind of draft I have to start with and go from there.I know coal can be tough to burn on warm days but it usually makes it through the day without losing draft.

The Dwyer Mark ll model #25 (not the 27!) is as good as they get for our use. You can catch them on ebay for $30ish, other places for more.

The best? Probably ones that oil burner people use, but they're around $350.

Don't get the first one you see on Ebay. The prices can really differ. I got mine, brand new in that it had never been used but stamp dated 1988. It works just fine. It matches the readings I got on one I borrowed from the Forum. I got it for $20. Good luck, Lisa

Yes the Model 25 is the one most of use use.
If you don't find any on ebay, many online retails have them for the $30-40 range. Just GOOGLE "Dwyer Model 25".
We do have LOANER program on here for the manometer if you just needed to check it.

I just paid $20/free shipping for a new Dwyer 25 from this person on ebay. Got it in 2 days, came from NJ. The username is "gwenrich" and just search for "dwyer 25".
