Not a bad year so far. Weather may be calling for a coastal storm later in the week. This should get them moving a bit more.

Haven't hunted white tail in years. Target is too big. Been into ducks in the recent past. Try hitting something the size of a football that changes direction while flying at 50 mph. :) Humbling experience in the beginning. Yesterday I was really tempted when I saw that familiar beige movement in the woods behind the house. There was a really nice 8 pointer that hung there for a half hour with another smaller 4 pointer and a bunch of doe. Had the glasses on him for quite a while and I'd estimate a least a 15+" spread, high points and nice brow tines. Oh boy ....

My brother connected first day, I missed one at 280 yards on Thu. night and my business partner and fellow camp owner missed one at about 250 yards. I rushed the shot a little as the deer was moving away and he got buck fever and rushed everything. It was a fun season though, I wish I had time to hunt the muzzle loading season this week.
