Last Wednesday, I called a rent-it place to see about getting a skid steer. Nothing like improving the drainage around the house on Thanksgiving Day after the Packers win, eh? They told me if I picked it up on Wed, I "couldn't" return it until Monday morning because of the holidays, but they would still only charge me one day rental. What a deal and what a lot of fun! I know it's the season for giving, but I got to thinking...
If you could add two new pieces of equipment (computer, heavy, culinary... whatever) to your current inventory of stuff or upgrade two of your older items, what would you want and why? Money is no object, of course.
Add Two?

Matrox editing station:

...and the baddest ass HD Video camera on the market.
You'd be able to buy house with the cost of both, Matrox is probably $20K+, they don;t list prices even from dealers. If you have to ask it's too much. Cam cost? Sky is really the limit.

Is a bank safe considered equipment? If it comes full.... I'll take two!
OK... #1 a mid size Kubota backhoe. ($40,000ish?) My full size Case is a monster! Sadly I can not sell it and have enough money to buy a Kubota. #2 a 4' by 8' CNC router with tool changer and vacuum bed. ($80,000ish)
Or... a CNC Milling machine and a CNC lathe. ($50-90,000ish ea)

I'd upgrade my old Case 580CK Loader/backhoe to a more modern 4x4 model with a cab.
And a new Pickup truck maybe.. mine is young as far as miles, but begining to show the effects of salted winter roads, and Clorided summer dirt roads.
These are the first items I thought of .. I'm sure I'd like many other items.. like a winning lotter ticket. That would fix all the other issues.

I'd go for a big Hitachi track hoe. Digs big holes. A semi with a 24 ton dump behind it would also be sweet!

Right now I would settle for two big veins of Pennsylvania's finest.

A Columbus gas engine and a 26' enclosed and air conditioned trailer to drag it to the shows, yep, that oughta do it.
