They already had a segment about it on the news(cnn I think) so at least its starting to get attention, they said that there was no wording against free standing flagpoles but there is wording about the Association can decide whats unsitely.

Whenever these stories come up (and it's always a decorated war vet, isn't it?), I can't help but think about the person who buys a house next to an airport and then complains about the noise

The Donald's pole was so big ... the city sued to make it smaller:

and he quietly agreed:

You know it just isn't right. If the guy owns the house he has the right to put a flag pole up. Stories like these make me want to buy a house in some yuppie development and park junk school buses, farm tractors, loaders, coal hole junk, trucks, and cars all over the place and let the B!@#%rds take me to court over it with there high priced legal representation.

+1 on that!

Why do people care what's in their neighbors' yards??? I could never understand this. Around here, there's at least 1 article per week in the paper about people having a meltdown because someone doesn't mow their lawn & has a few motors, tractors or cars in it. Who gives a *censored*??? It's not your yard!!

Were on our way to communism. It's gonna be a heluva ride!

yep!!!

"In a letter last week, Webb urged the association to "consider the exceptional nature of Col. Barfoot's service when considering his pride and determination in honoring our flag."
Barfoot's fight also has lit up veterans bulletin boards and blog sites supporting him.
Barfoot won the Medal of Honor for actions while his platoon was under German assault near Carano, Italy, in May 1944. He was credited with standing up to three German tanks with a bazooka and stopping their advance.
He also won the Purple Heart and other decorations, and served in Korea and Vietnam before retiring from the service in 1974."

EEEERrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! Don't trust em........they are going to be up to something!!!

Win the battle....lose the war...... This topic will bring forth a great deal of passion also.....
but a great deal more reasonable discourse will result.
