Just got ours done. Its normally 12 ft tall, but this year the wife only wanted a half-sized tree.
Also got the Parol Lantern setup.

Yup, were up and running. Christmas tree and outside lights. I like our new tree. It looks more like a rocket more than a tree because its so skinny.

I have a set of Vintage Budweiser lights illuminating Baby boiler in the basement. :D

Oh is that just the reflection off the can in the florescent lights :?:

Right at this moment I an in the midst of a Coffered Ceiling restoration/replacement in my little place and there is too much dust. I have a countdown clock set on my desk -- I have 19 days to finish it before Smoking Hot shuts me down and hauls out Santa's Village.

Im hoping the weather holds up this weekend so I can go get one. I found a great farm last year just outside of Blairstown that I want to go to again. http://www.glenviewfarm.com/

I'm in the 'Bah Humbug' crowd..
Too much time and money being spent on the house project.

I may find a 'Charlie Brown' tree to put a cup of coffee under, as a present to myself.

Just the outside stuff, porch stuff.

Our cats would destroy the tree inside. it's just the 2 of us and we don't do much for xmas.

We're going down to Massachusetts this weekend to visit family and friends and attend a few holiday parties.

Typically we cut down our tree the day after Thanksgiving, but putting off for a week or so because I'm setting up a surprise birthday party at the house for the boss, (wife), and I'll need all the room I can keep for people. This is the BIG 49+1 as my wife puts it.

Planning on putting up our HELL tree this weekend. I like real trees and the wife prefers fake trees so being that last year was a real tree year (we alternate) this year it's the fake one. I can't think of anything I hate more than that damn tree!! It is a 10ft artificial that is such a pain to decorate. I put the tree up on a 1ft platform to give more room for presents so now I must use the 8ft step ladder to decorate by moving the ladder in small increments around the tree. I am po'ed just typing about it!!
