if any body is interested in seeing the coalman and homesteader stoker boilers I will have 1 of each it looks like on display at the national farm machinery show and tractor pull in louisville,ky feb 10-13, the coalman comes in 400,000 and 600,000 btu, stoker coal only ,the homesteader comes in 250,000 300,000 and 600,000 btu
the homesteader burns wood, lump coal,or has an optional stoker attachment ( same stoker that the coalman has) I currently have a coalman burning at my house and very pleased if you want to heat multiple buildings ,farm buildings or very large shop and home ,this is the modern stoker boiler setup for soft coal,

I really liked that "Coalman" when I first saw the brochure of it a few months back. Wish I lived close so I could come check it out in person. :(

Lucky ;) Would be really cool if they could fire it up because most people have never seen a stoker like that in operation. Everyone who saw it would be amazed.

Might have to make a trip to the show, haven't been there since 1985. Was wondering if you had any imformation comparing the coalman to the portage and main stoker? Seems like the cost is lower (was quoted $15,500 for the P & M), but read here
**Broken Link(s) Removed** that the effiency was lower between the two.

Very interesting! Thanks for sharing (nice well lit photos)!! Tell me/us more about these units. This doesn't look like your first 'Rodeo', so share more insight, please! Weather should be nice compared to mine in Feb.......road trip!?!

Do I need to bring along 24 tons for our friends down there, or do you have enough of the home grown variety for now?

I could package up a TT load of white crystalline stuff....snow, (Ice Crystals) not something else. Don't want the Black smoked windows Tahoe's, driven by the neat and trim guys getting the wrong idea.... :D
