Looks like it's time to become a politician, at least they don't have to pay taxes.

I guess this falls under the "if you can't beat them, join them" strategy? :P

Personally I think it would be great therapy to beat them... bop2 ...but they put you in jail for that if you are not well-connected, well-financed, or both!

Back then, not everybody had multiple houses, multiple cars, boats, RV's and motorcycles.

And back then, there weren't gigantic AIG's peddling "credit default swaps" on Wall St. -- and holding the world financial market hostage if they weren't bailed out when they went bad. And then paying their execs billions in yr-end bonuses with YOUR money.

Those things can drag the economy down in a hurry.

I was just trying to illustrate to stocking that the government they seem to like so much is actually responsible for the things they complain about.

Nope! I`ve been here long enough to have learned, everything good=Bush or Rep. everything bad Carter or Dem. It seems there is a need for instant gradification if a Dem. is in office but short term memory loss if a Rep. is in office. There is also no middle just left or right, black or white, liberal or conserative.

I don't think that's necessarily so. I'm sure there are a lot of middle of the roaders on the forum. Perhaps they aren't as motivated to post? Of course our society has become more polarized of late. Too bad the art of constructive compromise seems to have been forgotten. :(

For that, we can all blame the media's ability to distribute the red meat that extremists on all sides crave -- and which is used to create the "us and them" atmospherics and the "purity tests" which follow.

Too bad.
