Neither, worked at JHU/APL http://www.jhuapl.edu/ I designed the camera electronics for the camera that took the first color full disk image of the earth. Made the cover of National Geographic in 1967. I had a dream career.

I knew that. I think at the time you had your crabbing pic. But when I looked at that donkey avatar, I just busted out laughing.

Honker down. Looks like some more white stuff on the way.

One forum member pointed out that there the earth photo isn't on any 1967 issue of National Geographic. He's right. The photo that was released to the public was taken on Sept. 23, 1968. Publication in the NG would have been after that. The photo is posted below. It was a big deal at the time. The spacecraft called DODGE was a DoD sponsored experiment to prove that a spacecraft at 20,000 nautical miles could be pointed towards earth with passive techniques. Passive is important because it doesn't take any power. The camera was just a sensor for determining the attitude and seeing how well the experiment worked. The camera was B&W with a color filter wheel in front of the lens. Frame scan was 200 sec. Video bandwidth 1 KHz. By taking three images through three different color filters you got all the data to make a color photo. In a photo lab the three B&W images were superimposed through color filters to make one color image. NASA was pissed because we scooped them. Their satellite to take color pictures of the earth was still in the design stage. There engineers were calling us to learn how we got the color balance correct. The image may not look very good compared to today's shuttle images but at the time it was literally out of this world.

Back in early July. There were more fish in a wheelbarrow off to the side. Me and my buddy split the catch and I think he sent close to 150 lbs home to Mass. We limited out on every species but Silvers. I figured id post this pic here since its my most recent.

That big halibut in the middle my friend caught was 77 lbs. And the big orange guy there (a yellow eye) was one of the bigger ones that the captain of the boat had seen in years. When I pulled it up he said that we must have been drifting over the old folks home since it takes close to 100 years for one of these fish to get that big.

Big question...did you eat all of those...how long did it take? I'm a big fan of fresh fish but I think even I would hesitate with that much in the fridge!

This is me: right wing; paranoid; predudiced; nationalistic; zenophobic; narcissistic personality disorder. Unemployed; unmotivated; emotionally and spiritually handicapped. Eccentric; belligerant; orphan; homebody. Self-centered, touchy, and looking for a nice woman to settle down with. And those are my positive traits.
