If its your belief that life begins at conception does that mean that this is the one & only way to look at it. I can go back a few years & say that before the abortion was made legal Allegheny county averaged right around 100 deaths of women per year + the # of aborted children. Since then there have been zero womens deaths. We`ve been out of Allegheny county for almost three years so I don`t know if that still holds true but I would believe so.

To a radical, the women's death is God's will. Once pregnant, you are not in control of anything. And mikeandgerry, you would like to control the educational content that is shown to women. It would be graphic to the extreme. How about showing all the unwanted children and foster homes and sex slaves etc. that result from children being unwanted or born to people that cannot give them what you would call a decent upbringing. Enter the Liberal welfare types to spend money to rescue them or save them or abuse them. Just write the check for the cost. I don't think you agree with that system either.

I am ok with teaching ALL the possible consequences and outcomes of an unwanted pregnancy in a secular sense. I am ok with the cost to administer the education. I am ok with the choice of the mother to abort if all truths and options are known to her. Only in this compromise can we settle this issue while retaining a modicum of virtue.

I will never need an abortion so I can live with the law either way. (I feel bad for the guy getting probation for hitting the duck)About 1% of all abortions are because of rape or incest, about 15,000 out of 1.3 million.

Who’s getting abortions how many and why?

Give 'em an inch

CAMPBELL COUNTY, VA (WSLS) - Police in Campbell County, Virginia say the child was killed by its mother moments after she gave birth, but they can't charge the mother because of a loophole in a state law.

Around eleven Friday morning the Campbell County Sheriff's Office got a call that a woman in her early 20's was in labor. When deputies arrived at a home in the 12 hundred block of Lone Jack Road in Rustburg they discovered the baby had actually been born alive ten hours earlier, but was dead by the time they were called out there.

"I believe everyone was upset, except for the person who should have been upset, the mother" said Investigator Tracy Emerson.

Emerson says that's because the mother suffocated the child under bedding. He can't charge the mother, because of a loophole in state law.

"In the state of Virginia as long as the umbilical cord is attached and the placenta is still in the mother, if the baby comes out alive the mother can do whatever she wants to with that baby to kill it. And in the state of Virginia, it's no crime," said Emerson. "She could shoot the baby, stab the baby as long as it's still attached to her in some form by umbilical cord or something and it's no crime in the state of Virginia."

If there were any way to charge this mother and put her in jail, investigators say they would. In fact, they work to try to get the state law changed after another similar incident in Campbell County. Talking to two delegates and one state senator, asking them to take this issue up with the General Assembly, but they say those three refused because it's too close to the abortion issue.

"Simply because the mother was there, and the baby had not taken its own identity allegedly at this point, it makes the baby not its own person," Emerson said.

According to a law - not according to Emerson who believes the little life deserves justice. Investigators also say the woman knew she was pregnant and had received prenatal care. Authorities add that the baby was full-term and due this week. The medical examiner says the baby was born healthy. An autopsy is being performed.

I personally believe theirs no reason for abortion. I know a couple in our church that went to Russia to adopt 2 little girls because of the ridiculous limitations and infringement the US puts on adopted children. I also believe that if a woman thinks it's her right to have an abortion then they have a right to pay for it completely. I don't believe our taxes should pay for elective surgery. I would like somebody to show me statistics on necessary abortions because to mothers life is threatened that actually shows that abortion is the only way to eliminate the problem. Rape and incest rarely ends in pregnancy but even then rarely ends up in abortion. And last but not least "NO" prevents all voluntary sexual pregnancy's on both parties.

I am pro-abortion.

I believe in the theory of natural selection/ eveloution. The most fit survive. I wish natural selection would be allowed to happen more often.

If the mother thinks that she is not willing or capable to properly care for the child, she can make the decision to end the pregnancy in the best intrest of herself and the unborn child.
