Oh cool, a Concorde! Were you on it? I heard they are pretty small. Imagine flying supersonic like that. A lot of rich people and celebrities flew on those. Wasn't it a piece of metal that was on the runway that got kicked up and punctured the full fuel tank? sux. Bizarre accidents happen.

I was once going down the Parkway delivering a chandelier. It was a very wiry chandelier packed in a 2 x 2 x 3' box; that was completely filled with styrofoam peanuts. The box had been opened with the top folded folded up the way you do with cardboard boxes.
When I hit about 70 mph, a small opening happened in the top center of the box flaps, and low pressure sucked the peanuts up and out of the box. There was a huge blizzard of styrofoam peanuts trailing behind my truck for a hundred yards! That really made the tailgaters back off!

No, i was not in it in flight. I happened to be in it while it was on display in Seattle at the Museum of Flight. Nice story man. I once was heading down the highway with five or so sheets of plywood and a huge gust came out and blew two sheets directly over this semi behind me. I think that since he was so amazed at what had happened that he helped me pick up what had blown out. I now am a huge fan of straps.

Catastrophic failure of a 4- banger. Gary Stroud closest seems to be a motorcycle drag racer. Motor looks to be on display, seems like a fresh motor leading me to believe it was a wide ope throttle drag race failure. Furthermore my dear Watson, I see a high strength braided line, a high capacity oil pan, and what looks like a high lift cam!
