Thank you! I needed puppy help and I'm sure there are many that would like to discuss their pets &/or problems. I've had some horrible to train animals & would've loved a support group! LOL!

Holy cow, it's been almost a year! Well Coalman, you got your coal delivery forum rockin, how about a topic for the car savy? Maybe you could get blue84camaro to start it off. I got a peek @ his pics. Should have more over there that might visit, I would think. But I have been wrong before...

NEW LOOK

PostBy: Jersey John On: Mon Oct 23, 2006 9:40 am

As one who appreciates a well laid out website, as well as the ability to interact with all those involved, wanted to say that this is my favorite site to visit. I am often home between appointments, and review the new postings when I take a break from my work.

I realize that any site is a work in progress, but wanted to also say that the your NEW LOOK, is very refreshing, as well as perfect for the style and content of this site.

My main passion is photography, and I only wished that I had more computer savvy so that I could set up a website featuring my photos. I will certainly post a few, once I get my little coal stove up and running.

Thanks for the opportunity to be a part of this site. It truly is a pleasure getting to know others who all share the same interest.

Have a great week!

NEW SEARCH BAR

PostBy: Jersey John On: Mon Oct 23, 2006 9:49 am

Just realized that the search bar is right where you want it. Seemed whenever I wanted to look up a previous post, it took a couple of steps to get there. This is by far the optimum place, and having used it a moment ago, it worked perfectly.

Keep up the great work!

Besides coal I also do websites and video, I'm one of those knows a little bit about everthing ytyp of guy as far as media goes. By far I'm most proficient in video so if you have questions ask here. :)

To date the most extensive site I've done can be found here: http://www.40lbhead.com . It's currently in the middle of an upgrade so some of the pages may look a little funny but the frontpage I linked too and forum loacted here http://www.40lbhead.com/head2head/ are done. Everthing is fully functional it's mostly the theme for some pages thatI have not completed.

You may be interested in this as well, it's a image gallery and is practically finished (again except for the theme). http://www.40lbhead.com/headfiles/

Very robust software, it's actually much more than a image gallery but a file management system that allows for embedding audio, video, images or links to any file you want to allow.

Similar to forum it wil allow users to upload images if you want to allow them, comment on images, rate them, slideshow, etc etc. The core software is Coppermine PhotoGallery which can be downloaded for free. If you're interested contact me via e-mail if you want to get one setup. In addition to my fees for installing and themeing(optional) costs are about $10 per month for domain registration and the server.

Wonderful job on the site!

Pertaining to some contstructive suggestions:

-Might be helpful to have the "jump to" forum dropdown available on either the homepage or under Main Index.

-Consider adding some articles to the Home Page, possibly down the right hand side regarding: Mine news, Mine safety, Coal and energy pricing (in general), New stoves and tools available, etc.

-Weather

-Color

For what it's worth brother- looks like you're doing a good job. I'm part owner in a Contractor Tools and supplies business-We have our own website that I'm deeply involved in- I know how much work this is

Thanks for your dedication...

Thanks ,as with any site it's a work in progress.... forever.

That's not a bad idea but I can't do it with the stock one because it's too wide with the longer titles. When I get a chance I'll see if I can work something out with an expanable menu. I already have about as much as I want on the top.

Never one for all that extra stuff, I don't like sites to look cluttered. I try and build them so you get right to where you want. This site is for information, they aren't here for the weather. I often wonder how much people look at it anyway. I wouldn't have the time to keep it up to date myself so I'd have to rely on feed or something and that's really not something I'm interested in.

-Color

The basic theme you see now is about what it's going to be. I will be adding some hints of color here and there. I haven't gotten around to doing a lot of the graphics so that's where you'll see it.

Thanks for your dedication...

You're welcome, glad to be of help.

I thought the same thing about our website... until we started getting $8.50 drill bit orders- $1.50 for the bits and $7.00 for shipping! Not to mention the people who place $5,000 orders with their credit card..Who woulda thunk! You never know...
You buy a coal stove and your ALWAYS thinking about the weather (October-April anyway)

Have a wonderful weekend!

could you start a catagory for european stoves. i've noticed many are starting to be imported into the US and appearing at dealers. It's probably easier to have a lump european rather then trying to list all the different manufacturers.

At this time the only categories for specif models are ones where there is represenatives for the companies. At this point in time I think hand fired or stoker is good enough unless there is avalanche of posts. Nothing worse than unused empty forums.

Thanks for the suggestion.
