Thanks for the tip! I've had black and tans made with Guiness and Bass Ale and they were absolutely delicious. I think your combination would be similar.

Have to locate some Porter though. Around here all they seem to have is the Lager and the Black and Tan. Someday I'll have to go back for the brewery tour. I hear it's very good, particularly if you have ever brewed your own beer.

Yuengling Black & Tan is there Premium beer and the dark brewed Porter mixed and brewed together Not the same
as The Half & Half Chesterfield Ale & Dark brewed Porter Is a Much better tasting mix Try and get some .
Call or email the Brewery and ask for a dealer near you that carries the Porter .

if you're looking for a good porter, don't even waste your effort with yuengling porter. if you can get Great Lakes in your area, they have Edmund FItzgerald porter, which is rated one of the best porters on earth by beeradvocate and this guy!

I've had it before and it is a very respectable porter. Unfortunately, Great Lakes doesn't seem to make it out here. Just bought some Commodore Perry IPA while I was out in CNY. A very good IPA, Both are on my list for the next time I get to CNY.

Following in your footsteps tonight cokehead. I found some Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron and bought a four pack. Had one so far and the second one in the fridge is calling me... :drunk:

The good news is I resisted drinking the one in the fridge so I have another one for tonight. The bad news is I have only 3 left.

In a few moments I'll be joining the DfHPSM club! Wife called me on her way home, I placed my request and the local place had it. I asked her what the price was an she said she just finds it and buys it. I am soooo lucky :)

I worked with a guy from Texas who used to say: "Shiner Bock is so bad you get a hangover before you even finish the beer..."

However, I respectfully disagree. Shiner Bock is not a bad beer in Texas or elsewhere.

I believe that was said around here about Haffenreffer Malt Liquor ... AKA: Green Death!

Those giant 64 ounce bottles bring back fond childhood memories for me. It was an accomplishment to finish one in less than an hour ... and I was all of 115 lbs back then! :woot: :funny: The 16 ouncers
( Pounders in MA speak) had little puzzles inside the cap that were fun to figure out as you got completely annihilated! Little pictures: screw + 'ed = screwed ... stuff like that. I know ... bad example, but I can't remember one of them!

One ol' timer described the flavor to me very well: SKUNK PISS.
