I was able to get my hands on some Four Loko before it becomes illegal. The lemon flavor tastes like a whiskey sour. The rasberry flavor is nasty.

I think MA already outlawed that stuff. The owner of the company must be a Republican! It's been on every news channel for the last week!

Got to know Corsendonk ABA a few years ago and I think it's available year round. There's a local place that looks like a biker dive but they have about 10 beers on tap and serve an amazing strip steak. Corsendonk ABA is on tap there and delicious, either before or after steak

Molson XXX is a good beer!
My brother used to fish up in Canada every year. He'd bring back two cases. Thats all you could bring back over the border.
I don't know if you can get that in the states now or not.
Always been a Bud man myself. Hey! anybody remember the Bud man stickers?

Molson XXX certainly has some kick, if you are looking for a high octane lager it is a good choice. It is available in my local grocery store, but then again I live right on the border. Molson Dry is also good, but I think it is only available North of the border.

Try a case of Sam Adams Nobel Pils. It's a seaonal brew they're doing this winter. Normally I'm not a big Sam Adams fan; but, this stuff is really good---but only if you want to grow hair on your chest...

I don't know if a Pils would grow any hair, but SANP is good. I've had it on tap at the end of last winter but never bottled. Time to start looking for it againwatkinsdr wrote:Try a case of Sam Adams Nobel Pils. It's a seaonal brew they're doing this winter. Like Pilsners? Look for Victory's Prima Pils and Troegs Sunshine Pils. Although not a Pils, I like Troegs Pale Ale, both are at 45 IBUs.

I always looked foward to the Coors Winterfest beer.
Used to come out just before the holidays around here in Mass. That was one of my favorites!
Don't know if they do that anymore.

Peanuts and Sebago Full Throttle Double IPA, it's what's for dinner. Almost as good as Dogfish Head 90 Minute.
I slowed way down on my libations but.......I couldn't help myself recently. I wandered into the local packy and spied a four pack of "Wee Heavy" by Sam Adams. Ahhhhhh something new (to me). Don't drink this beer if you are going swimming. You'll go straight to the bottom. It has a peat smoke malt and you definitely taste it. It is a flavor explosion. Almost reminds me of a badly burned slice of toast. Little sweet, lot of bitter. Oh,....did I mention it is 20 proof. Forgot the peanuts. I think I'm going to go fall down now.

Ah yes! A favorite style of mine too, the Scotch Ales be they are Sam's isn't a bad offering but IMHO, I'd choose Old Chub (8% abv) from Oscar Blues. Don't let the can scare you but it deserves a nice glass to appreciate all it is. Founder's Backwoods Bastard (10.2% abv) is seasonal Sctoch Ale and out now - I'm on the lookout for this one!
All good beers deserve a glass! IMHO if a beer doesn't taste good at room temperature it isn't worthy.VigIIPeaBurner wrote:Ah yes!
