I fired up the second burner on the Hyfire.

I like coal. My house is finally warm.

Better go get the 'Brass Monkey' inside for the night. You know it's gonna be cold enough to freeze the balls of your poor brass monkey for a few days. Bring him inside for his own safety!  :!: :D

When I left the cabin this morning for work around 4:30, It was 15 up on the mountain and the wind was HOWLING. Today it made it up to 19 degrees. This what I have been waiting for to test out my Glenwood Baseheater. The fuel consumption has climbed just a small amount to about 35 lbs per day to keep the basement, and living areas quite comfortable. I've noticed a few air leaks around the windows in my house with the high wind. No problem, fresh air is good for you. I made a little secondary fire in the Stanley Argand in the Living Room and I was walking around in a tee shirt all over the house.
Go Glenwood Go. :D

Todays high was 34*, currently 27.5*, the low so far was 19* this morning. I don't think we will beat that before this day (12/22/09) is over.
