Loving Hudson's coal.....

PostBy: kenberlew On: Sat Dec 12, 2009 9:36 am

I'm still new to burning coal and am really liking it so far. I have a 2800sf cape cod 10 minutes outside of Dallas, PA. Today I bought 10 bags from Hudson Anthracite and I'm totally impressed by it compared to the coal that I purchased from Back Mtn. Natural Heat. I bought 6 bags of nut and 4 bags of pea and am doing a 85-15 mix....again I'm impressed with the amount of heat and how easy it was to light. From what I've said and found out on my own, what are your thoughts on filling my coal bin with Hudsons product? Is there anything else out there better and closer than Hudson?

I have been burning Hudson coal for the last year. I am happy with the results.

When i was in business we dealt with them almost exclusively for 15 years. The quality is at minimal "acceptable" to good. If you get in there right day you'll get outstanding but that is luck of the draw. Their prices are a little more than Kasey's which is the only other breaker in the area but IMO Hudson has always had a consistently good product.
