2010 - "Year of the Elephant"?

2010 - "Year of the Elephant"?

PostBy: Richard S. On: Tue Dec 15, 2009 2:26 am

With Obama's continuing decline in the polls and his two centerpiece goals of Healthcare and the Energy Bill teetering on the brink of collapse at this point in time it appears 2010 could be monstrous loss for the Democrats.

The only really question I think is do the Democrats break ranks and throw Obama under the bus or risk putting their own seats in jeopardy.

My question is, "Does it matter?"

The R's are no different than the D's.

GWB had the record for deficits and spending increases until BHO came along. What will the next guy do?

They guy who has the balls to shut off the tap will cause a massive depression. No one wants to cause a depression so no one will do it.

If Republicans put a stop to all this environmental sillyness that the Dems have been shoving up our asses for the last year, then we will be MUCH better off! I don't need cap & trade bullshit to bankrupt me, and the entire USA in the name of the environment ........

I can only hope that they stick like glue to their chosen one. By doing so many of them should suffer the same fate as he will. Get this ship turned around some.

...What is really funny is no matter which way they swing on either the HC or Energy bill they are screwed.

If my understanding is correct next big ticket item on the agenda is Immigration reform in the Spring.

I think 2010 more likely will be "Year of the Primary." While the progressive Dems are pissed off at the Lieberman/Nelson/Lincoln set, the GOP is caught between the country-clubbers and the tea-baggers, who may have even less in common.

Look at the upcoming PA Senate race, for example:

This link is broken, either the page no longer exists or there is some other issue like a typo.

(If you think that means it's a done deal the Toomey will win next Nov, I've got some land in FL for you.)

One thing I think will become increasingly apparent: people will realize that success on Wall St has less and less connection with American prosperity.

2010 will be a very interesting year.

"You're Screwed"

"When House Democrats gathered on Friday for their end-of-the week caucus meeting in the basement of the Capitol, caucus Chairman John Larson (D-Conn.) told the group he wanted them to hear first from Rep. Michael Capuano, who'd just returned from a primary campaign for the Senate seat in Massachusetts vacated by the death of Ted Kennedy," Ryan Grim writes at http://www.huffingtonpost.com.

"Larson asked Capuano, who finished in second place, to share the wisdom he learned on the campaign trail," Mr. Grim said.

"Capuano took to the microphone, looked out at his colleagues and condensed what he'd learned into two words. 'You're screwed,' he told his friends in the House, according to one attendee. The room's silence was broken only by soft, nervous laughter.

To me this is one of the scariest times ever for our country. We will be lucky if the country our forefathers started will still be here as we know it much longer.

I found this web site Friday. Interesting. I don't know if we should be as afraid of the Federal Reserve as some of it's links suggest but this new world order crap I think is something to worry about. The current Administration is heading straight for it. the Republicans were as well just at a slower pace.

By the way I have always been a conservative. Just wish there was a party for me.

If Capuano said that, it's good news for us conservatives. He's the most liberal jerkoff in the statehouse. I got soooooo SICK of his ANTI-BUSH anti-Cheney ads that ran every 10 minutes on the local stations!

At the end of every commercial, he'd say "...... because we don't need another Dick Cheney." I used to get so pissed I almost whipped a few items at the TV!! What an *censored*!! How about offering some solutions to today's issues, instead of attacking an administration that's been out of office for AN ENTIRE YEAR!!

I HATE that shitbag!
