2 Usernames? I can merge them.

If you have two usernames for whatever reason I can merge the the old one with your new one. This will merge PM's, post count, attachments and everything else.

The only requirement is that you can confirm this through the email address or "secret answer" used on the old account.

Interesting! How about just creating an alias, so if someone searches for posts from a certain user, they get the posts from both usernames?

Noooo, that was the guy with 20 usernames

A lot of people forget exactly what the username is, maybe can't figure out how to retrieve password etc. Instead of contacting me they might just create new account. I can usually track it down with minimal information, email address only, partial username....
